I love the HD series and would love to see more spec optionsĬomments: Just caught my PB, a 7-lber, on a swim jig and this rod handled it like a charm. The only gripe I have with falcon as a company is that, too many of their models don't have enough rod specifications to fill up an arsenal. For the Price you can not beat themĬomments: These rods are nice, they stand the test of time too.

A Tad heavy but they hold up to me which means they are very durable. Have always been a CARA Fan but They changed them.

Great rods for the money spent!Ĭomments: have been a Falcon Fan for over 25years. Thinking of adding the 7 H model for froggin and flippin. Some may disagree but I like throwing 1/4oz. Soft enough for plugs with 10-12# line or enough backbone to switch to 16-20# for chatterbaits/spinnerbaits. Light weight plugs (bandit 200 #6 shad raps, small yellow magic poppers) are cast with ease. Having a Mike McClelland signature Cara, I knew falcon made a top notch rod, I just didn't realize the HDs would be the stars. I find myself using these rods more so that I don't beat up my G.Loomis rods.Ĭomments: Thoroughly happy with both of the HDs I've purchased. All of these rods have been perfect and for the money there isn't anything better imo. 6'8 med, 7' med casting and spinning, and a 7' mh.
